Commando

Commando is the default character in the risk of rain 2 game, so you don’t need to unlock that character in this game.
Commando is the starter character but it’s a wrong assumption that this character is weak inabilities.
Commando abilities are very strong to fight enemies and this character teaches you how to fight in the gameplay.
Commando characters have a good ability to attack fast on the enemy and aim accuracy is great.
Other abilities of this character is a handy dodge to the enemy for an escape from the dangerous situation and rapid-fire ability to stun enemies in pitch.
So this character is easily available for you and playable for beginners.

Huntress

Huntress is the best character to play with the mid-air ability in the gameplay of the game. While your character in mid-air you can easily target the enemies.
If you want this character to unlock then clear the first three levels but the condition is that your character completes those levels without dying.
Attack of huntress is weak and slow but abilities are awesome and strong.
The main ability is to jump up to six enemies and target some enemies with one aim shot while the commando has one single shot to kill the enemy.
So this character is better than commando.

MUL-T

MUL-T  is one of the strong characters in the risk of rain 2 gameplay. MUL-T looks like a robot and the abilities of this character make him a more powerful character to play.
In the game, you can beat level 1 with 5 times to unlock the MUL-T character. You can be doing this easily forgetting that insane character.
Now it’s time to talk about MUL-T abilities, main ability of this character is you can easily target an enemy from a short distance and you can also target an enemy from a long distance.
In the short-range distance, you can easily aim at a crowd of enemies and their boss. In the long-range distance, you can use a sniper rifle to aiming flying enemies.
MUL-T also have other abilities like speedy dash and stun grenade. Speedy dash ability is helpful for your character to escape from the enemy or attacking also.
While you can use stun grenades to damage the enemies or stun them. So this character has powerful abilities to beat enemies.

Engineer

Engineer characters have turrets to attack enemies and these turrets helpful to damage the enemies.
This character also has a shield like a bubble which protects the character from enemy attacks.
If this character faces a group of enemies then you can place the turrets in the middle of that group to attack the enemies.
You can also increase the speed of turrets with the help of collecting boost items in the gameplay.

Artificer

Artificer character has had three power abilities to damage their enemies.

Artificer character is used fireball, lightning orb, and ice wall.

Fireball ability is work on charging, that means when you run that time fireball ability charge and increase their power to damage the enemies.

While your character charges up for the fireball that time you can use the lighting orb ability of Artificer.

Lightning orb ability helps to kill the enemy with aiming of lighting on the flying enemies.

Mercenary

Mercenary characters are used teleports to change their location and confused the enemies.

If you want to unlock the Mercenary character then you need to complete the seven levels of the game and find this character from the end of the seventh level gameplay.

Rex

Rex character is very difficult to manage for attacking the enemy because some attacks are missed by this character.

Rex has the primary ability is natural toxins which ability has reduced the speed of enemies.

A secondary attack of Rex like a mortar is a manual attack, but this attack is very hard to aim at the enemy.

Fuel Array item is needed if you try to unlock the Rex character. But remember fuel array items are unstable so you can find fuel array items in various places of the game.

If you want to find Rex you can go to Abyssal Depths when you are in the 4th level of the game.

Loader

Loader characters have more damaging power to decrease the power of enemies.

Loader character strikes the enemies with swing power ability and damages the enemies near 300% decrease the power of enemies.

While Loader is charged up that time it’s moving fast speed. So we can say that this character has high-speed movement to play the gameplay fast.

To unlock the Loader risk of rain 2 character, you should be playing on the 4th level of the game and try to complete the  ‘Guardian Offline’ challenge.

After that challenge, you go to Siren’s Call map and finding the Loader. Remember it’s two paths available in the 4th level if you find Rex then you can go to Abyssal Depth.

If you don’t want Rex from that map then you can restart that level to collect the Loader character.

In Siren’s Call map you can destroy the enemy boss and after that, you will destroy the eggs and nests.

You need at least five eggs and nests destroy for this unlock risk of rain 2 characters.

Acrid

Acrid have poison ability which damages the enemy’s power. Poison ability damage the enemy’s power 1% in 1 second. 

Acrid have Blight ability which is damages the enemies 60% per second. Many other abilities are also available in Acrid like Vicious Wounds, Neurotoxin, Utility, etc… 

When you can play in the Bazaar Time level then you find a cave on that level to unlock Acrid character of risk of rain 2.

At Bazaar Time level you can go to the cave and fight with nine challenging cells. After the fight, you will defeat the challenging cells and you can find the Acrid character of the game.

Captain

Captain have Vulcan Shotgun ability which highly damages the ability to kill enemies. Captain damage ability is near about 8×120%, so it’s massively damaged ability against the other unlock risk of rain 2 characters.
